There are daffodils nodding along the street, so that means this Spring Trench is about to have many, many outings! The Ulysses Trench Coat from Victory Patterns is a beautiful coat, drapey, pretty and with lots of lovely details included.
This trench sews up beautifully. All the seams are bound, in this coat Danielle used a linen pre-made binding from The Fabric Store. If you have two machines, thread up to match your fabric and thread up to match your binding – then there will be no delays at all.
The vent in the back of the trench is easy to sew and you’ll be very impressed with yourself. There is a rain guard and it has small notched in gaps to allow the belt to pass through. The epaulettes on the shoulders give a great line. The trench has set in sleeves, a simple shawl collar and no lining – so everyone can see your pretty bound seams. This woven fabric also came from The Fabric Store. It has fantastic drape.
