Do I have to bring my own sewing machine?
Nope! Our workshop is fully kitted out with Janome My Excel 18w sewing machines, ready for you to use. If you want to bring your own machine, you can – remember to bring all the feet accessories, the foot pedal and power cord.
How many people are in a class?
We keep our classes small and personal, with a maximum of 6 participants.
What happens if I miss a week?
If you can’t make it to a class, you can book a private lesson to catch up. Click here to read about private lessons, or email us at info@threadden.com to arrange one.

When are classes held?
Weekday classes usually run from 6pm to 9pm, while weekend classes typically start at 10am or 2pm.
I have some sewing experience, should I do this course?
Great question! Each class description includes an “Appropriate For” section to help you find the right fit, or you can click here to read more about our class levels.
Can I make something else in this course?
Our classes follow a plan we’ve designed and refined over almost 20 years (!) so everyone can learn and progress together. It’s not possible to swap projects or do a different project. If you’d rather work on your own thing, our FreeStyle Sewing Sessions might be just what you’re after.
Do I need to bring my own equipment or sewing kit?
Not necessary, we’ve got everything covered here. But if you have a kit you love using, want to cut with your own fabric shears, or show off some cool sewing accessories – you’re welcome to bring them along – we love to check them out!
Do I need to buy fabric or anything extra?
Yes, each class description lists exactly what fabric and supplies you’ll need. Feeling a bit unsure about buying fabric? Email us, we love chatting fabric and are happy to help!
