Bendigo Woollen Mills

Premium yarns at discount prices.  Their yarns are available in big 200g balls. They use the most luxurious natural fibres available and a method of hank dyeing which results in a softer, fuller end product. The wool produced is from Australian grown wool from the NSW Highlands region and they produce yarns with other fibres including Alpaca, Mohair, Angora, Silk and Cotton. Visit the Mill built in 1901 in Lanes Street Bendigo and shop online.

Craftee Cottage

Stocking most speciality threads and materials for embroidery and cross stitch, as well as a huge range of  knitting and crochet yarns and wools, childrens craft kits and bags for craft and knitting. Atherton Road, Oakley.

Dairing Yarn

Dairing specialise in unusual and quality yarns from Japan, Italy and Asia. They also carry boutique yarn brands – Avril (Japan) and Habu Textile (America). Dairing is a contemporary design studio specialising in knitting.

Handweavers & Spinners Guild of Victoria

Started in 1954, they are an organisation with courses, supplies, resources and events. The Gallery is the first thing you will see when you visit the Guild.  It is a showcase of the craft and skill of the Guild’s members.  

Morris & Sons

They boast the largest inventory of knitting, crochet and needlecraft supplies in Australasia. Shop also for their own brand of yarns. Visit the large beautiful store on Collins Street in Melbourne.

Sunspun

Sunspun has been selling beautiful yarns from this shop for more than thirty years, and is one of Melbourne’s oldest yarn shops. Exclusive stockists of Isager and Shilasdair yarns in Australia.  Their store is located on Canterbury road in Canterbury. 

Wondoflex

Maker Maker is a small yarn store in Brunswick East. From simple affordable yarn for the beginner Maker, to hanks of gorgeous locally hand dyed yarns, with a focus on Australian brands, and organic or ethically sourced fibres. 

Woolybutt

A store that also has an extensive range of out-of-print vintage knitting and crochet patterns which they are happy to photocopy for you for a small charge!  Woolybutt also offers made to order knitting services and repair of hand knitted and crocheted garments. Located in Rosanna.

Fibresmith is a boutique space in Yarraville, dedicated to quality, natural cloth yarn and fibre craft supplies.

    I am looking for a hand knitting service or person who would be prepared to complete a knitting project (women’s jumper) that I am struggling with. I only need he pieces completed able to put it together myself .
